Fir lumber originates from Western Canada and can supplied as Rough (Rough) or Surfaced (S4S) and treated as Green, (KDHT) Kiln Dried and Heat Treated or Pressure-Treated with special products such as Borate applications.

Douglas Fir ( Pseudotsuga menziesii ) is famous for its excellent strength, grain texture and superior structural applications.
Douglas Fir is an excellent construction grade lumber utilized for strength and appearance purposes.
Construction grade Douglas Fir has an average “Extreme Fiber Stress in Bending, Fb” of est. 1800 ~ 2800. In comparison to other species ranging from 1200 ~ 1500 for Select Structural grades.
Structural applications: Buildings, construction, furniture, framing, appearance lumber applications, log houses, timbers, pilings, marine buildings and plywood. Also, widely used as the famous Christmas tree.
Appearance applications: doors, furniture, trimmings, moldings, veneer, flooring and paneling.
Demand: This species is highly demanded in Canada, USA, Japan and is considered as best softwood lumber product within Europe, Japan and the Americas.
